// About Me

I strive to create fun and engaging games that bring people together. I believe that video games are able to do this in a way that no other form of entertainment can. After picking up game development and programming in 2011, I immediately knew that I wanted to push myself to continue to learn and to pursue a career where I could bring these dreams to life.

I have experience developing games and interactive experiences for PC, iOS, Android, and Oculus Quest platforms using Unreal Engine and Unity. Having primarily worked on smaller teams, I have been able to expand my knowledge to include not only development, but also design as well. I strive to be able to effectively tie both technical and artistic solutions together to create the best experiences possible.

Gameplay Programmer

Chashu Entertainment, 2021 - Present

As a Gameplay Programmer at Chashu Entertainment, my primary role was to implement gameplay features in Unreal Engine using C++ and Blueprints. I worked alongside teams to implement gameplay functionality, quests, interactions, game state conditions, characters, dialogue, and cutscenes. My role as a Gameplay Programmer had me working with many different departments to incorporate their work into the game, including models, animations, dialogue, and music/sound. Additionally, I worked to develop and design systems to help manage and implement gameplay events for rapid iteration. I also developed the localization and VO pipelines as well as implemented the supporting tools. During the early access and full release stages of Sands of Aura, I worked with players to gather information to fix bugs and improve the overall game experience.


Digital Media Developer

Four Story Creative, 2018 - 2021

As a Digital Media developer, I oversaw development on multiple projects using C# and Unity. Projects included iOS/Android games, VR training simulations, AR apps, and internal development tools. My primary development tasks focused on gameplay and UI, but also covered other areas such as animation programming live service content delivery systems. I assisted artists and other programmers to determine our performance targets and help manage our resource budget efficiently. Additionally, I worked with team members of various disciplines to help coordinate content creation and ensure that it was implemented according to our standards. I frequently met with team leads to implement Agile-based content pipelines as well as to organize tasks to ensure requirements were met on rapid deadlines.


Developer Internship

Four Story Creative, 2014 - 2016

During my time pursuing my bachelor's degree, I was brought on as a part-time intern (and full time during summers). During this internship, I learned the development and production workflows for mobile games, VR and AR experiences using Unity and C# and contributed to projects from concept to release. Additionally, I researched and implemented new technologies and practices into existing project pipelines. I also shadowed other programmers and assisted them with bug fixes and testing.

Dallas Baptist University, 2014 - 2018

I received my BS in Computer Science from DBU in 2018. During this time, I learned C++, Java, Python, HTML/CSS, data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, databases, security, and more.


Entry Level Internship

In my first developer position, I helped with basic development tasks and learned the processes and standards of app development using Unity and C#. I was taught by multiple team members of various roles to build an understanding of the development process.
